Tell me the History
The « Grande Bourse » opened its doors at
the end of the XVIIth century. It owes its name to the commercial
exchanges (cereals, wine, bulls) which were carried out there.
This tradition continues, as blind tastings of “Costières
de Nîmes” wines are regularly organised.
These tastings allow winemakers to meet the customers and to introduce
them to the fruits of their labours. |
An exceptional place
Staff who make every effort, throughout the year, to welcome you
to an exceptional place.
The major attractions of the « Grande Bourse » are
its warmth and receptiveness.
A spacious terrace with 600 seats, opposite the Arenas, makes it
a magical, unforgettable space, to which Hemingway, Dali and other
celebrities always took, and continue to take, pleasure in returning. |
The Feria
Twice a year the bulls leave their pastures to come to the Arenas
where sightseeing gives way to bullfighting. The world’s
greatest matadors meet and the people of Nîmes as well as
plenty of strangers come to experience these magical, fairy-tale
moments. |
Our Values
Because we are not satisfied merely to have a mission statement
declaring that the customer is king without living up to the claim,
we undertake to provide all customers, every day, with the welcome,
the smile, the service and the friendliness that they expect. |
